About Primero Range & Wildlife Consulting LLC
Primero Range & Wildlife Consulting LLC was founded to give landowners a trusted resource for managing their land, wildlife, and hunting operations.
Carsten Groos, founder and lead consultant, brings over two decades of experience hunting throughout the state of Texas and nearly a decade of experience in land management and wildlife biology. Carsten holds a master’s degree in Wildlife, Aquatic, and Wildlands Science Management from Texas Tech University and a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Oklahoma. As a sixth-generation Texan and avid outdoorsman, Carsten understands that working lands and working people are key to conserving wildlife, habitats, and agriculture for posterity. Carsten’s hands-on background and appreciation for the land and its people shape how Primero conducts business— every consultation and every service is science-based and rooted in sound stewardship, tailored to fit the needs of each property.
